Mr Ahmadinejad said they had conspired with Israelis to falsify documents and graphs to discredit him. His rivals boycotted the chance to appear on TV, after apparently not being offered equal airtime. Earlier a former president and leading cleric urged Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to rein in Mr Ahmadinejad. Mr Ahmadinejad alleged in a TV debate last week that the cleric, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, and other politicians were corrupt. Huge crowds have been out on the streets, as the rival candidates held their last election rallies. Mr Ahmadinejad is thought to be in a tight race with his main rival, reformist Mir Hossein Mousavi. Age: Lucy looks about 17, but is actually only about one year old.
Gender: Female
Orga or Mecha: Mecha
Classification: Doll Mecha Model
Appearance: General Appearance
On A Typical Job
Usual Clothing: At the warehouse, Lucy wears a simple pink floral dress. She usually walks around barefoot, but does have a pair of large black combat boots.
When rented out, Lucy can wear anything at all, from all-black for stealth or formal dresses for high-class balls, to schoolgirl outfits and other fetish clothing.
Hobbies: Lucy is not allowed any hobbies.
Family: None.
Favourite Colour: Although she is not supposed to have a favourite colour, because Lucy has developed a memory and personality across imprints and wipes, Lucy’s favourite colour is pink.
Weaknesses: Lucy has the mentality of a child and knows nothing of how to interact in the outside world.
Lucy has somewhat been scarred by the things she has been sent out to do since she developed a consistent memory and personality.
Personality: Lucy is essentially a child. She is rather timid, and extremely naïve.
History: Lucy is the first doll mecha that was made. As a result, she has begun to develop a consistent personality and memories across imprints and wipes.
She has developed a fear of the people who own her, and has just managed to break out of The Warehouse where she resided. She is currently dazed and confused, trying to make her way to civilization.
Other Information: None.
RP Example: Lucy looked around the vast trees around her.
She was dirty and her arms had a few scratches on them where branches had caught on her.
She had just escaped The Warehouse and was now trying to look for a way out of the woods that surrounded it.
She saw a series of passing lights about a half-mile up ahead and ran towards them.
When she got closer, she noticed that it was a road. Hopefully, someone would stop to help her.
Gigolo Joe ((Taken by 'mechagirl')) « Result #10 on Feb 10, 2008, 9:28pm »
Name: Gigolo Joe

Gender: Male
Orga or Mecha: Mecha
Classification: Male Lover Model
Appearance: Tall, light complexion, green eyes, black hair-usually.
Usual Clothing: Shiny, rather flashy, trench coat, trousers and shirt.

Personality: Designed only to please women and seek out prospective customers, Joe has the potential to do more, he proves a helpful guide and trusty friend to David, though he's had no experience dealing with children before.
History: A fairly recent model, Joe was bought by an agency who probably owns other mechas of his kind--like Jane, and given a try out at "Here Kitty, Kitty" in Rouge City, this going smoothly, he proved a worthwhile investment to his owners, with clients occasionally requesting him specifically, until being framed for murder, he flees the scene, removes his license, and is captured by the Flesh Fair where he meets David--when the crowd turns on the Flesh Fair ringmaster and David is released, Joe is saved along with him, grateful, he agrees to help David in his quest.
Other Information: None

Role Playing Example (as requested ) :
The officers stared coldly at Joe, one spoke curtly into the phone, "Yes, we got it, the one that killed the women at the hotel. We're about to deactivate it."
Deactivate? Joe knew that once they had done this he would be helpless, and it would probably be a while before they bothered to reactivate him, unless they wanted to question him.
There was no point in attempting escape or a struggle, here in the tiny amphibicopter, hovering in the air miles above the chopping gray waves out of which the ruins of a long abandoned city rose, his options were few...
David Swinton ((Taken by 'Admin/David Swinton')) « Result #11 on Feb 10, 2008, 9:27pm »
Name: David Swinton
Age: David looks eleven years old, but is actually a matter of days old.
Gender: Male
Orga or Mecha: Mecha
Classification: Child Model
Appearance:
Usual Clothing: When David was first brought to the Swinton household, he wore a simple white cotton shirt with simple white cotton trousers.
Now, however, his typical clothes are whatever his "mother" chooses for him, though he seems to prefer a grey t-shirt with a red collar, a blue jacket, green-grey trousers, and dark blue sneakers.
Hobbies: Once his programming is activated, David enjoys reading, drawing, writing, listening to stories, sitting at the table at meal-times and spending time with his "mother".
Family: Professor Hobby – Creator Monica Swinton – Adoptive Mother Henry Swinton – Adoptive Father Martin Swinton – Adoptive Brother
Favourite Colour: Blue.
Weaknesses: David cannot eat, otherwise his system will get clogged up and he will break. However, this is easily fixable.
David is extremely naïve, not understanding a great many things about the world and the people in it.
David does have a tendency to do the wrong thing, or be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Personality: Before he is programmed to love Monica, David is rather wooden in his personality, as his entire function is to love, so he does not really have a purpose until his programming is activated.
After the programming, David is extremely young in mind and is eager to learn all he can. He stays true to his dreams, however, through thick and thin.
The aspect of David’s personality that is always present, no matter what, is his love for his "mother", Monica. He believes that she holds the moon, would do absolutely anything for her, and would never think anything bad of her in a million years and, though he may not like some of the things she does, he could never, ever think a negative thought about her.
History: David’s history is extremely brief.
He was originally the only son of Professor Hobby. However, when David died young (from causes unknown), Professor Hobby devoted his work to making a mecha version of his son for others in similar situations.
David is the prototype "mecha-child", and has been sent to live with Monica and Henry Swinton.
They are all part of an illegal business that runs out of a place known only as "The Warehouse", a secret dormitory/laboratory, somewhere outside the borders of Rouge City.
Doll Mechas have been programmed with a very specific version of the Three Laws, which allow the mechas to disobey the laws. The only humans they cannot harm and must obey are the people who run The Warehouse.
Each Doll Mecha has a different appearance, due to the nature of the work.
Doll Mechas are imprinted with customized personas for performing any of a wide variety of assignments, which can be romantic, adventurous, outlandish, illegal, etc. After completing an assignment, they are mind-wiped into a child-like state with no memories.
However, what the people who run The Warehouse do not know is that, over a long period of time, the Doll Mechas are capable of developing persistant memories and self-awareness across imprints and wipes. They are also capable of breaking their programming.
Lover Mechas « Result #14 on Feb 8, 2008, 6:54pm »
MALE MODEL
FEMALE MODEL
The Lover Mechas were designed and created to replace prostitutes and gigolos.
Because mechas cannot carry them, the number of cases of people with STDs has gone down rapidly.
Like most mechas, Lover Mechas are programmed to adhere to the Three Laws. However, due to the questionable ethics surrounding them, they are much easier to pin a crime on.
Lover Mechas are so advanced that they can break free of their programming.
The Three Laws of Robotics « Result #15 on Feb 8, 2008, 6:52pm »
99.9 % of all mechas and robots are programmed to obey the Three Laws of Robotics. These are:
1. A robot may not injure a human being. 2. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
There are certain loopholes to these laws. For instance, a mecha can break any of the laws.
Mechas can become the tools of murder, provided they are not aware of the nature of their tasks; for instance being ordered to add something to a person's food, not knowing that it is poison. Furthermore, a clever criminal could divide a task among multiple robots, so that no one robot could even recognize that its actions would lead to harming a human being.
There is one or two models of mechas that can bend or even break these laws. These are the new child mechas and the illegal "Doll Mechas".

"Mommy" it had been--years since she had heard those words, coming out of a child's mouth, directed at her, the little robot boy slid of his seat and gave her a hug, something which surprised her, but then she wrapped her arms around the child, squeezing him, and holding him close as well.

David sat there patiently as Monica recited the words.
As she said the last word, 'Monica', something overcame David. He felt different inside, as if he was just feeling everything about himself for the first time.

"Okay now, look at me?" she glanced at the instructions once more.
"Ready?"she got no reply from the child, but he seemed calm enough, so she proceeded as instructed...
Slowly, she began reading the string of words aloud.
"Cirrus. Socrates. "she looked, worried at the boy's face, no sign of change. " Particle. Decibel." she continued. "Hurricane. Dolphin. Tulip. Monica, David, Monica. "
She waited, nothing seemed to have happened.
"All right. I wonder if I did that right, I don't.."

Monica glanced down at the semi-translucent paper with the instructions, looking so deceptively simple, a simple touch here and there, six words...but once done...
"Now, I'm gonna read some words..." she bent down a bit so she was nearer the child's eye level, hopefully this would be a bit less frightening for him this way, "...and uh, they won't make any sense, but I want you to listen to them anyway, and look at me all the time, can you do that?"

Several weeks later, Monica "tucked" David in for the night, after reading him the usual bedtime story.
Over the last few weeks, she had gotten more used to him--he seemed less eerie than when he had first came. And his traits of watching her wide eyed as she made breakfast, or tagging along as she cleaned the house seemed endearing rather than annoying.
That night though, after she had tucked David in, her thoughts drifted back to Martin.
Martin. Still frozen in time-waiting, waiting for a cure that the for the best medical experts was still in it's theoretical stages. Her little Martin, lying cold and unbreathing, unable to move, see, or even hear any of the fairytales she read to him.
One day, he would come back--he must! Henry had read that the solution for a cure was getting closer everyday.
But that day might still be years in the future, what mattered was her life now, it would not do her--much less Martin any good if he finally came home to parents who had snapped under their strain, and would be unable to even welcome him back properly.
She remembered being told that she had to focus on "one day at a time", after Martin had left, and that things would be better this way. But they weren't because all it really meant was getting up to one lonely empty day after another...
But now, with David, things were different, the house felt more "lived in", the way it had been in the old days, the way it would be again, when Martin came home.
And when Martin came home, she wanted to have a warm home waiting for him.
She glanced at David again, he was still lying in the exact same position, the blank, but rather sweetly innocent stare directed upwards...
She walked quietly out and closed the door gently, tommorow Henry had some sort of business trip, and she had to get up early. But getting up early or late--to face the day was something she no longer dreaded.

Monica was startled at first, she screamed and jumped in surprise when first heard the boy's piercing giggle, but somehow the laughter was infectious. She started to chuckle, she smiled, it seemed as though she hadn't laughed in years...Oh God, maybe it had been years, she looked across at Henry, he was smiling too.
She picked up her fork again and went back to eating, somehow, things felt a bit more normal now.
Re: Deciding « Result #31 on Jan 27, 2008, 3:53pm »
David observed the two adults eating their food, and tried his best to imitate it, lifting the empty glass up to his mouth and setting it back down again, picking up the knife and fork and miming wrapping the spaghetti around it.
And then he saw Monica taking too much spaghetti and still had a small piece of spaghetti hanging out of her mouth.
Without any warning, David began to laugh very loudly, causing Henry to jump up in alarm. He pointed and laughed at the small piece of spaghetti, which in turn, made Henry start to laugh.
Re: Deciding « Result #32 on Jan 27, 2008, 3:35pm »
David had been staying with them for over a week now, a mixed blessing, in some ways, it was nice, not too feel so alone anymore. But other times his noiseless tread, and unblinking stare as she carried out common tasks made her remember that technically she was still alone. He-it, wasn't really human. He didn't run around the way a real child would, or play, or laugh...
That evening, she quietly poked at the spaghetti she had prepared earlier in the day, making light small talk with Henry about how work had been, but for the most part, remaining silent.
She took another bite, wondering where she'd put her napkin as she realized she might have gotten too much spaghetti...
At the far end of the table David sat, as he had for the last several nights in the row, with an empty glass and platter set before him.
The next day or so was mostly a series of misunderstandings.
Monica had grown frustrated with David following her around everywhere, so she had eventually put him in a closet for several hours and, when she let him out, had told him that it was a game, and that she had found him.
However, this had prompted David to think that, whenever he couldn't see her, that they were playing this game, so he had walked in on her in the bathroom.
All this was to change, though, one night at dinner...

She stared at the advancing little figure. No, this was absolutely too much, she might have done a lot that day but she was not--the thing's mother.
"You know I'm going to say goodnight while you, boys be boys!" she finished with forced gaiety.
She closed the door quickly behind her and took a few steps back into the hallway, trying to calm down, yet even there she felt as though that innocent, but unnervingly intent gaze was still on her.

"Uh, well, it's late you know...." she heard herself replying, exchanging a glance with Henry..."so uh...how late do they let you stay you up?" as soon as the words left her mouth she realized how foolish they were--but it was something she had been used to asking Martin's friends back when they had sleepovers.
Re: Bringing David Home « Result #38 on Jan 27, 2008, 12:57am »
Monica numbly signed on the line indicated. Then glanced back up at Henry "Silly man, of course I'm not sure..."
Later that night, they took the little mecha to Martin's room, where they had agreed he was going to stay, it was the only place in the house really, they had a guest room, but that seemed somehow to...formal...and besides, wasn't part of the point of a child mecha to treat it as you would a real child?
Monica rummaged around and took out a pair of pajamas she had bought for Martin shortly before his illness, a bit bigger, she recalled staring at the label, than the size he had actually worn at the time, which was why they had never been used, but considering the way children grew, it had seemed wise to purchase them ahead of time for the day when--but that day had never come. The pajamas and several other outfits had remained neatly folded, untouched, she had glimpsed the other packages sitting at the back of the closet, neat and waiting in their crisp, shroudlike wrappings...
She shut the closet door hastily and thrust the pajamas into Henry's arms. "These should fit him."

"The show of faith my company has placed on me, on us, is extraordinary," Henry explained to Monica in the bathroom, away from David, "now, there are a few simple procedures we need to follow if and when you decide to keep David."
Henry handed Monica the folder that he was holding containing all the information they needed to know regarding what they had to do when they decided if they were going to keep David.
"There's an imprinting protocol consisting of a code string of seven particular words which need to be spoken to David in the predefined order imprinted here,"
Henry pointed to the sheet that had the seven-word protocol on it.
"Now Monica, for our own protection," he said, in a tone that meant what he was about to say was extremely important, "this imprinting is irreversable. The robot child's love would be sealed in a sense, hardwired, and we'd be part of him forever. Because of this, after imprinting, no mecha child can be resold. If an adopted parent should ever decide not to keep the child, they must return it to Cybertronics for destruction. I had to sign a letter of agreement or they wouldn't even let you see David. You have to sign it too, right here."
Henry pointed to where Monica needed to sign, then moved in front of her and looked her straight in the eye.
"Monica," he said, "don't imprint until you're entirely sure."

Sometime later, Monica watched as David explored what, for the foreseeable future, was his home. She watched as he watched as he explored the house, that unnervingly steady gaze wordlessly taking in the furniture, the kitchen appliances, the ingredients she had set out for supper....and finally he even approached the family photos...
Was it just her--or did that gaze seem to linger a bit longer over the photos with Martin in them--rather the way a real child would be extra curious about a fellow youthful occupant of the house, a prospective playmate...
But there was no playmate here, those pictures had been taken long ago, before they had payed their first visit to the Cyrogenics facility to discuss the possibility of...she pushed that thought from her mind furiously, though already she could feel the tears welling up...
A short while afterward, Henry attempted to explain to her about just what the robot child was for...

A hundred miles of fiber...
Henry's words echoed in her brain, it was true, of course, she knew something about the manufacture of robots herself. But seeing one in the form of a boy. It was just too much.
After Martin entered the facility, his little friends no longer came, there was no reason for them to, no child had crossed their threshold in five years, they had few close relatives, over the past generation or so families had gotten smaller, who could've brought young ones of their own. And it had seemed for a long time that it was just as well.
Martin's room she kept clean, but entered rarely, it was too painful, she kept it just as it had been on the day he left, the same well loved toys, the same artwork on the wall. She didn't dare throw anything out, though she knew by now some of the things were a bit dated, last Christmas there had been ads for new types of amphibicopter supertoys...but if--no when Martin returned--you never knew what he might miss, did you?
But still, it haunted her, the house was empty and quiet, where before the cries of Martin and his friends, the beeping of some toy--and often, especially when he was younger, the soft whirring of Teddy accompanying him, had rung through the house--there was now--nothing.
Teddy, Martin's oldest toy, that he had had since he was a baby, and who had not been deactivated until Martin had been taking to the facility--for what was clearly going to be a long stay, had been sitting in a box for the last few years...
She could remember her delighted surprise when her mother-in-law had unexpectedly whipped him out a few days after Martin's birth. Oh, he had been a the latest thing back when Henry was a baby, but by Martin's time he was a bit old fashioned, still though, Martin had loved him, clutching him eagerly, and Teddy--who sometimes seemed smarter even than some of the new humanoid mechas Cybertronics made, apparently knew the right way to deal with a baby, and had calmly adjusted as Martin grew older.
Those years--as one birthday after another had passed, they'd seemed both short and long, she and Henry had been lucky--they had what so many other couples would've given everything for, a child.
And then their precious child had been taken from them--never to return for a good many years, if ever. Irreplaceable. For whom there could never be a substitute.
Until now.
"...just like a child...." She heard herself whispering.
Re: Bringing David Home « Result #43 on Jan 26, 2008, 11:26pm »
Henry looked at Monica with a sort of sadness in his face. He could certainly see why Monica was having a hard time accepting this. David did, after all, look almost exactly like a real boy.
"I know, but he's just like the others underneath," he reminded her, "a hundred miles of fibre."
Re: Bringing David Home « Result #44 on Jan 26, 2008, 11:21pm »
Henry's pleas, his assurances that he would do whatever she wanted--that the robot could be returned....
But none of this would help the most painful element of it all ..."I mean Henry, did you see his face..." the height, the build, all such much like a real young boy would be, even the movements, the way he had been almost cautious when he first stepped down onto the hardwood floor, and even his smile--oh, undoubtedly following some pre-programmed pattern, but the youthful expression...
Re: Bringing David Home « Result #46 on Jan 26, 2008, 10:49pm »
Monica turned to stare at him
"How could you---" she choked on her sobs, her next words cut off. It still seemed incomprehendible, if Henry had brought home some special project from the company, a new type of serving man, or chef--in fact they had even contemplated getting one when they first married, but it had been a little beyond their price range, till Henry had gotten that job...and, then after Martin's departure, it had been rather comforting for a while, still was a bit, to bury herself in the details of getting the roast to turn out just right, making sure the whole wheat loaves were nice and fresh. Things like this took up hours of her day, motivated her to scan the newspaper for recipes in the morning, and provided a subject of conversation with the neighbors, most of whom had children of their own, the age Martin would've been if-- but she pushed that thought away.
"If it were a serving maid or an assistant or something you--" she stopped, her sobs making speech impossible again "or even, " she gasped, recovering " one of those cheap, trashy lover--but this??? This??? Oh my God--what were you thinking???"
She saw that he seemed to be thinking of moving forward to comfort her, and backed away from him . turned his brain? What was wrong with the man--had all these years of working for a company like Cybertronics finally turned his brain?
"Henry, " she gasped, moving around the room to stay out of his reach, "I can't--I can't--" she was near the wall now...

Without replying Monica turned and stormed out of the room down the hall and into the room they shared, she slammed the door behind her furiously, and stood in the middle of the room, reeling, then she began to sob.

Monica stood, frozen, her mind whirled, she had people say that nowadays you could subsitute a mecha for a human at almost every level of society--why weren't Nannies filling in for a parent? And as for a spouse--on a physical, albiet not emotional level you could find mechas who could--but still, a child, this was too much.
Children, innocent beings not yet fully formed, how could you "build" or "program" that playful spirit, that liveliness? All the things that made people so desperate for their own child, all the things that she could remember in her own little Martin, before the sickness...
"Oh God, " she whispered "...Henry--how could you..."
